Happy 2-Year Rebirth Anniversary to Me

I hit a really big milestone in my recovery from my CNS Lymphoma diagnosis and ensuing brain surgery and many months of treatment. On February 5, 2026, I received my final set of "baby" vaccines after my immune system was completely reset 2 years ago. Formally, February 9, 2026, marks my 2-year birthday since my Day 0 rebirth in 2024 when I received my cleaned stem cells to start fresh.

I am ever so thankful to my brain surgery team at Mass General Brigham and ensuing multi-faceted treatment and recovery team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This is why I will forever walk and raise donations for The Jimmy Fund Walk in the Fall and why I am so thankful for and now volunteer for the amazing folks at Expect Miracles Foundation - Financial Services Against Cancer who know #cancerisntfree.

The first year was more challenging, but as my immune system slowly started to get on track it allowed me to get my life back. That included family trips to Maine, Lake George, and Florida; work trips to Philly, DC, and London; holidays with my Philly family, 30th high school reunion at St. Joseph's Prep; Philadelphia Eagles game in LA with my friend; Philadelphia Phillies game at CBP; concerts; and more. Thank you again to my family especially my rock Christina McKee, MS,AG-ACNP, my friends, Sayari colleagues, and the rest of my network for supporting me through this journey.

Thought I would share some highlights and memories in the hope that they inspire others to fight through hardships because there can indeed be light on the other side. Just need to find your people to fight with you.
