Jimmy Fund Walk Fundraiser raises $2,000

It may have been raining, but Sam James still played the music; the fine folks at Rushford & Sons poured the beverages; and family, friends, and other fine folks showed up and gathered for a great cause on September 13, 2026, in Holliston, MA.

Thanks to Expect Miracles Foundation and 16 local businesses for supporting the cause by donating gift cards for opportunity drawings, which helped drive up donations to my BBC23 Jimmy Fund Walk Campaign. The Jimmy Fund Walk is on October 4, 2026, but donations are accepted as part of the campaign through October 31, 2026.

I am proud to say we raised just over $2,000 to support cancer research and patients.

• $25 Donation could provide new toys for pediatric patients in Dana-Farber’s Jimmy Fund Clinic.

• $50 DONATION could provide a wig consultation to help a patient look and feel their best during treatment.

• $75 Donation could provide support for a program to help pediatric patients transition back to school.

• $100 Donation could provide screenings for skin, breast, and prostate cancers.

• $250 Donation could provide genetic screening for one patient as part of Dana-Farber’s Profile project.

• $500 Donation could provide support for a breakthrough clinical trial.
