1st Jimmy Fund Walk 2024 | Light the Night
Walking in my first Jimmy Fund Walk just 14 months after my CNS Lymphoma Diagnosis and 13 months after brain surgery was one on the most cathartic events of my life. Having my family come up from Philly to walk with me along with over 8,400 other people all walking for the same cause - raising awareness and funding for cancer research - was just the most amazing feeling. Admittedly, my legs were insanely wobbly by the end of that 1st 5K.
Very proud that our Underdogs team was recognized by Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund for being the 69th top fundraising team with $10,885 going toward life-saving cancer research.
I was also honored that my family attended a local Light the Night event held by Blood Cancer United.
